Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Run Johnny Run was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Zombie Hunter, Six Big Boys and Sugar Spice collided on the first turn checking Six Big Boys and severely checking Zombie Hunter. Lilly Galore and Six Big Boys collided approaching the home turn checking Lilly Galore. Six Big Boys checked off Mahogany Flame approaching the winning post.

Zombie Hunter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have mild thumps and a spike wound on the left hindleg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bad Bailey and Little Fernando collided soon after the start checking Little Fernando. Pete Cabang checked off Run On Time on the first turn. Always There contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Always There checked off Bad Bailey approaching the home turn. Shanghai Avatar, Run On Time and Unknown Warrior collided on the home turn. 

Always There underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury and a spike wound on the left hind toes. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Just A Fidget - The frequency of racing was discussed with Trainer Mr J Formosa, his comments were noted.

Mahogany Queen, Lara Diamond, Fab Nine, Digitorum and Just A Fidget collided soon after the start checking Lara Diamond, Digitorum and Just A Fidget. Digitorum checked off Mahogany Queen approaching the first turn. Just A Fidget checked off Aerolithology approaching the first turn. Lara Diamond and Digitorum collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mahogany Queen checked off Debut Knight on the home turn. 

Just A Fidget underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

My Bro Lucky was slow to begin. Wolfsbane Potion, Dusty Victorem and She's Invincible collided soon after the start checking Wolfsbane Potion and Dusty Victorem. Go Lyla and Zambezi Icon collided soon after the start checking Zambezi Icon. Dusty Victorem galloped on Rumpelstiltskin approaching the winning post. 

Dusty Victorem underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Taiepa was quick to begin. Lightning Artist, Brinlee, Another Episode and Mepunga Fairy collided soon after the start checking Lightning Artist and Brinlee. Mepunga Fairy and Another Episode collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Fairy, Another Episode and Brinlee. Spyglass checked off Graphic Design entering the back straight. Lightning Artist galloped on Mepunga Fairy on the second turn. Taiepa and Graphic Design collided approaching the home turn checking Taiepa. Brinlee visibly eased, turned its head inwards and collided with Little Queeny entering the home straight. 

Taiepa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sand toe on the right fore and right hind paws. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Brinlee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7- no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Joe Borg regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Brinlee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Borg pleaded guilty to the charge, Brinlee is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Destini Catalina shifted in on the first turn checking Midnight Titan and Red Taltarni. Omar Little and Fast Izzy collided on the first turn. Midnight Titan checked off Zambora Club in the back straight. Omar Little and Fast Izzy collided on the second turn checking Omar Little.

Darwin O'Connor was quick to begin. Big Leigh was slow to begin. Daisy Hill Lad checked off Kurri Kurri on the first turn. Darwin O'Connor checked off Empire Baz approaching the second turn. Darwin O'Connor, True and Pyrenees Daisy collided on the second turn checking Darwin O'Connor and True. 

Romanova was slow to begin. Sense, Vixar, Hua Hin, Tuesday's Grace and Gardener's Boyo collided soon after the start checking Threadin' Mikado, Tuesday's Grace, Hua Hin and Romanova. Tuesday's Grace checked off Hua Hin entering the back straight checking Romanova. 

Tuesday's Grace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to both hind paws. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Rock In Rio - Late scratching at 2.16pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left flexor tendon injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed

Arancini underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Sir Julian checked off Ringcraft soon after the start. Josephine checked off Pyrenees Spirit on the first turn. Big Baccala and Ringcraft collided on the first turn checking Ringcraft, which lost ground as a result. Sir Julian and Zipping Navy collided in the home straight. 

Ringcraft underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dee Nine, Honey Eclipse, Lock Pepper and Parumba Taylah collided soon after the start checking Honey Eclipse and Lock Pepper. Bitter Dash and Fawn Illusion collided approaching the first turn checking Fawn Illusion. Fawn Illusion, Southern Edge and Grease Lightning collided on the first turn checking Fawn Illusion. Grease Lightning checked off Southern Edge on the first turn checking Dee Nine. Honey Eclipse and Lock Pepper collided on the home turn.
