Short Leash and Groundbreaking collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Groundbreaking checked off Especial One on the home turn. Groundbreaking and Amigo Two collided entering the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Fletcher Jay, winner of the event.
Fletcher Jay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both dew claws, abrasions to the left hind achillies and bruising to both sides of upper gums. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
