Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Weblec Storm and Yeah Easy collided soon after the start.  Fugacious, Nevilla Bale and Molly Blazer collided soon after the start.  Weblec Storm, Yeah Easy, Nevilla Bale, Molly Blazer and Fugacious collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Fugacious and Molly Blazer.  Weblec Storm checked off Blue Gal approaching the second turn.  Molly Blazer checked off Fugacious on the second turn.  Weblec Storm checked off Yeah Easy entering the back straight.  Yeah Easy, Nevilla Bale and Gypsy Zelda collided on the third turn checking Gypsy Zelda.  Yeah Easy and Nevilla Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Molly Blazer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Weblec Haze was slow to begin.  Beguile and Swift Timing collided soon after the start.  Swift Timing contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Vanna Bale, Weblec Haze and Beguile collided on the first turn checking Beguile, Devel Sixteen and Dyna Bonnay.  Vanna Bale and Weblec Haze collided on the second turn.  Beguile and Dyna Bonnay collided on the second turn checking Dyna Bonnay.

Gladioli Bale was slow to begin.  My Girl Kizzy and Kilpatrick collided soon after the start.  My Girl Kizzy and Javi collided approaching the first turn.  Wendalin Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Halwes.  Gladioli Bale crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Cool Bourbski, Wendalin Bale and Javi, causing Kilpatrick and Wendalin Bale to fall, severely checking Eastside.  My Girl Kizzy and Gladioli Bale collided on the second turn.  Javi and Cool Bourbski collided on the second turn.  Eastside checked off Cool Bourbski on the home turn.

Kilpatrick was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Wendalin Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

He Shall Power and My Father's Son were slow to begin.  Rockstar Beav, Here's Tears and Sir Truculent collided on the first turn checking Here's Tears.  He Shall Power and Here's Tears collided entering the front straight checking He Shall Power and My Father's Son.  Thriving checked off True Detective in the back straight checking Sir Truculent.  He Shall Power eased approaching the home turn checking Here's Tears.   Thriving and Sir Truculent collided in the home straight.

He Shall Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr D. Crawford regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), He Shall Power was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Crawford pleaded guilty to the charge, He Shall Power must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gypsy Bun was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr G. Dailly regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Gypsy Bun was charged with marring. Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Gypsy Bun is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
