Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Aratuza Bale was slow to begin. 

Princess Poppy and Zenfrey Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Princess Poppy, Aratuza Bale and severely checking Bye All Means which contacted the running rail as a result. Immunity checked off Och Eye Mum approaching the first turn. Zanfrey Bale and Immunity collided on the second turn. Aratuza Bale raced wide on the second turn. Zanfrey Bale and Immunity collided on the home turn. Bye All Means raced wide on the home turn. 

Bye All Means underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Way To Important was slow to begin. 

Indigo Indy, Blaviken Bale and Blackpool Storm collided soon after the start. Gifted One checked off Aston Chandra soon after the start and collided with Merry Lass. Indigo Indy, Blaviken Bale and Way To Important collided on the first turn severely checking Blaviken Bale which stumbled and lost considerable ground. Indigo Indy and Way To Important collided several times from the third turn to approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. 

Blaviken Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury and a spike wound on the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Zelia and Blackpool Bolt collided soon after the start causing Blackpool Bolt to collide with Tiberia Bale. White Assassin shifted in on the first turn checking Zelia, Blackpool Bolt and Tiberia Bale. Zelia and Tiberia Bale collided approaching the second turn and again in the home straight checking Tiberia Bale.

Blackpool Flash was quick to begin and crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Helen's Teddy. Ton Eighty and Westcott Bale collided soon after the start. Helen's Teddy and Arizona Gold collided approaching the first turn. Tyler Durden, Arizona Gold, Ton Eighty and Westcott Bale collided on the first turn checking Ton Eighty and Westcott Bale; both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Tyler Durden and Ton Eighty collided on the second turn. Tone Eighty and Westcott Bale collided on the third turn checking Ton Eighty.

Lee Ali– Late scratching at 5:17pm on 14 July 2020 when Mr Tim Britton reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Midget Rocks - Late scratching at 11:23 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left hind papiloma. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Aston Achilles - New declared weight 30.7, last raced at 29.6.

A pre-race sample was taken from Raglan Viper.

Aston Logan and Arizona Eyes were slow to begin. 

Raglan Viper crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Zero Cool and Raglan Viper and severely checking Aston Achilles. Aston Logan and Arizona Eyes collided on the first turn causing Aston Logan to fall. Raglan Viper and Aston Prestige collided on the first turn. Zero Cool checked off Aston Prestige on the second turn. Aston Achilles checked off Raglan Viper on the third turn.

Special Drop was quick to begin. Another Vader was slow to begin. 

Gazza's Pick, Chasing Beers, Maximum Refusal and Special Drop collided on the first turn checking Chasing Beers and Maximum Refusal and causing Special Drop to race wide. Another Bling and Osiris Child collided on the first turn. Osiris Child checked off Close Your Eyes approaching the third turn and collided with Another Bling. Chasing Beers checked off Special Drop approaching the third turn causing Chasing Beers to race wide. Maximum Refusal checked off Another Vader on the third turn. Maximum Refusal and Another Vader collided on the fourth turn. Another Bling and Osiris Child collided on the fourth turn checking Osiris Child, Maximum Refusal and Another Vader. Maximum Refusal and Another Vader collided approaching the home turn checking Maximum Refusal and Osiris Child. Another Bling and Gazza's Pick collided on the home turn.
