Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Prime Time.
Lara Diamond and Prime Time collided soon after the start. Lara Diamond checked off Miss Zeus approaching the first turn. Lara Diamond checked off Prime Time on the first turn. Katathani Kid and Always Innocent collided on the first turn, checking Always Innocent. Prime Time checked off Crackerjack Carr on the home turn. Crackerjack Carr and Prime Time collided entering the home straight. Crackerjack Carr checked off Miss Zeus in the home straight, checking Prime Time. Prime Time turned its head inwards and visably eased in the home straight, checking Crackerjack Carr.
Prime Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race seven. Prime Time was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr J Talgi regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Prime Time was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Talgi pleaded guilty to the charge, Prime Time must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
