Steward's Report
Kraken Tan, Hammer Red and Solar Charge colided soon after the start. Camo Rex and Awesome Grit collided entering the home straight. Awesome Grit turned its head to the inside in the home straight.
Awesome Grit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey and left triangle muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Paul Kaltsis, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Awesome Grit was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Kaltsis pleaded guilty to the charge, Awesome Grit must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Camo Rex - the winner of the event.
