Vanna Bale was quick to begin. Self Assured and Mick's Kimmy were slow to begin.
Double Truffle and Ultra Lightbeam collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ultra Lightbeam brushed the rail on the first turn and lost ground. Double Truffle checked off Do A Runner on the first turn checking Self Assured and Inga Bobby. Ultra Lightbeam and Inga Bobby collided approaching the home turn. Double Truffle raced wide on the home turn.
