Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mt. View Wrap was very slow to begin (2L).

Grand Giveaway crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Light Show which in turn checked Got Some Zip. Always There and Patchie Two Dots collided soon after the start. Boes Reward and Retro Reece collided soon after the start. Always There and Patchie Two Dots collided approaching the 250m mark. Always There, Got Some Zip and Mt. View Wrap collided at the 250m mark checking Got Some Zip, in turn severely checking Mt. View Wrap which lost ground as a result. Grand Giveaway and Retro Reece collided at the 50m mark. Retro Reece marred Grand Giveaway approaching the winning post.

Retro Reece underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Whitford, the trainer of Retro Reece regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Retro Reece was charged with marring. Mr Whitford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Retro Reece is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Remember Jimmy jumped in the air at box rise and was slow to begin.

Remember Jimmy crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Spicy Cupcake, Another Episode, Magic Indeed and Insidious Rio checking Remember Jimmy and Another Episode. Bones Fume faltered at the 250m mark and lost considerable ground as a result. Remember Jimmy and Insidious Rio collided several times from the 200m mark to the 150m mark checking both greyhounds.

Bones Fume underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Too Much Talking and Nana Rose collided soon after the start. Elite Gift and Too Much Talking collided soon after the start. Elite Gift crossed to the outside at the 150m mark checking Ruby's Rosa and Ivy Girl. Nana Rose and Giant Shadow collided at the 125m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jai And Sauce.

Ted Do and Crazy Jake were slow to begin.

Jai And Sauce and Sky Show collided at the 250m mark. Ted Do and Sky Show collided at the 200m mark. Matilda Tilly crossed to the inside at the 150m mark. Wicked One checked off Matilda Tilly at the 50m mark.

Double Tactic was slow to begin.

Southern Edge and Red Potion collided soon after the start, at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark. Lucky Paws and Southern Edge collided at the 250m mark. Gazza's Pick and Sarah Smirnoff collided at the 100m mark.

Lucky Paws underwent a post-race veterinary examination, at the trainer's request, and was found to have a split webbing and a laceration to the right hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Havelock Keith, Hardaway George and Flossy Lee were slow to begin.

Tui and Havelock Keith collided at the 300m mark. Black Rose Texas and Big Bash Ellyse collided at the 250m mark.

Aquileia crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Succession Plan. Master Winslow crossed to the inside at the 250m mark. Sideshow Marjen and Go Natalie Go collided at the 100m mark and several times to the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Ms R. Dudley, the trainer of Go Pro, acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards issued a warning to Ms Dudley regarding her boxing manners.

Dyna Saurus – Late scratching at 9:02am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr D. Basile informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on-route to the track. Stewards have advised Mr Basile that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
