Get Real was quick to begin.
Veritaserum, Lumen Hustle, Taciana and Ashby Slick collided soon after the start, checking Lumen Hustle, Taciana and Ashby Slick. Lumen Hustle, Ashby Slick and Taciana collided on the first turn, checking Lumen Hustle , which lost ground as a result. Ashby Slick turned head inwards towards Cyclone Zara and visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Ashby Slick underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr.C.Capuano, Trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Ashby Slick was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. C. Capuano, Trainer pleaded guilty to the charge, Ashby Slick must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Lumen Hustle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right hamstrings and calf. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
