Steward's Report
Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful heatlh screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
In accordance with GAR 31, Stewards extended the kenneling close time for this meeting. The kennels closed at 10.55am.
Run Fast Maximus – New declared weight of 27.5kg, last raced at 28.7kg.
Mich Wiggle and Run Fast Maximus were quick to begin. Remember Jimmy was slow to begin.
Another Avatar and Got Some Zip collided approaching the first turn checking Got Some Zip. Another Avatar and Miss Cheekiness collided approaching the first turn. Another Avatar and Run Fast Maximus collided approaching the home turn causing Another Avatar to stumble. Another Avatar and Miss Cheekiness collided in the home straight. Miss Cheekiness checked off Run Fast Maximus approaching the winning post. Remember Jimmy raced wide throughout the event.
Miss Cheekiness underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right foreleg paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
