A pre-race sample was taken from Jayla Bale.
Jayla Bale checked off Negan soon after the start. Fun Time Mikado, Mates Rates, Scalp Hunter and Jayla Bale collide on the first turn checking Jayla Bale, Scalp Hunter and severely checking Mates Rates.
Negan underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a comminuted fracture to the left hock. Negan was humanely euthanised.
