Banjo Glitter was quick to begin. Sultan Bale was slow to begin.
Southern Edge, Shaun John and Banjo Sally collided on the first turn checking Banjo Sally, Shaun John and Beers On Brody; causing Shaun John to fall. Banjo Sally and Glayva collided on the first turn severely checking Glayva and Eddie Lee.
Shaun John underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right flexor tendon, left hind toe and spike wounds to the right foreleg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Banjo Sally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a deep laceration to the left hind outside aspect. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
