Gibilisco, the trainer of Garage Sale, regarding the greyhound losing ground on the first turn. Mr. Gibilisco could offer no explanation except that it was Garage Sale's first start at Ballarat today. Stewards noted his comments. 

Take A Lily underwent a post-race veterinary examination, at the Trainers request, after an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported. 

Majestic Way was quick to begin. Now And Then and Moonyeen were slow to begin.

Vin Joel - Late scratching at 2.11pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a wound to the right shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Busted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury and a abraded paw pad / webbing. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Formosa, the trainer of Busted, regarding nominations for the greyhound in future. Stewards noted that Busted has sustained injuries in it's past two recent starts. Mr. Formosa stated that Busted was checked prior to this event and he was of the opinion the greyhound was fit to start. Mr. Formosa added that he will now give Busted an extended break before it's next race. Stewards noted Mr. Formosa's comments and took no further action.
