Further enhancements have been made by Stewards in accordance with social distancing for COVID-19. In accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed the Starter to ensure the greyhounds are boxed in a single file boxing process, commencing with box 1, followed by box 2, followed by box 3 etc. Greyhounds with a box first endorsement will continue to be boxed first  All handlers must maintain a 2 metre distance from the handler in front during the loading process.

Dress code - All participants that are permitted on course, as per the attendance regulations, must be dressed in accordance with the dress code as set out in the rules (ie; black and whites) at all times – including kennelling

Ava's Choice - New declared weight of 35.4kg, last raced at 33.8kg.

All Over Elly, Isotope and Catch Kate were quick to begin.

Refueled and Guilty As collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Isotope and All Over Elly collided soon after the start, checking All Over Elly. Ava's Choice checked off All Over Elly soon after the start. All Over Elly and Heart Beats True collided approaching the home turn, checking Heart Beats True and Guilty As.

Ride On - New declared weight of 29.7kg, last raced at 31.1kg.

Gypsy Jean and Unusual Suspect were quick to begin.

Ride On and Lady Elegance collided approaching the first turn. Gypsy Jean and Unusual Suspect collided approaching the first turn, checking Gypsy Jean. Gypsy Jean galloped on Unusual Suspect on the first turn, causing Unusual Suspect to fall, checking Lady Elegance and severely checking Ride On. Gypsy Jean and Pyrenees Steele collided in the home straight. Lektra Loopy raced wide in the home straight. 

A post-race sample was taken from Pyrenees Steele - the winner of the event.

Unusual Suspect underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left shoulder, left pectoral, sprain of right hock and an abrasion to the left hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pyrenees Petraca and Blackpool Pantha were quick to begin.

Like A Slug and Fran Keeping collided soon after the start. Like A Slug and Fran Keeping collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Pyrenees Classic, Like A Slug and Fran Keeping collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Pyrenees Petraca checked off Blackpool Pantha on the first turn. Why Not Kaleb and Pyrenees Petraca collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Like A Slug and Fran Keeping collided approaching the home turn, checking Fran Keeping.  Why Not Kaleb and Work Zone collided on the home turn. Fran Keeping faultered on the home turn and subsequently tailed off.

Fran Keeping underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Liberty and Aston Zephyr were quick to begin.

Joking Bear, Crackerjack Tys and Senor Diego collided approaching the first turn, checking Senor Diego. Fernando's Flare and Aston Zephyr collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Aston Zephyr and Crackerjack Tys collided on the first turn, checking Aston Zephyr. Fernando's Flare and Crackerjack Tys collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Crackerjack Tys and Double Tactic collided entering the home straight. Crackerjack Tys and Double Tactic raced wide in the home straight.

Fonzarelli - Late scratching at 5.55pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr T. Scott was fined $100.

Crackerjack Daza and Quick Income were quick to begin. Broadway Bullet and Seven Enemies were slow to begin.

Duke Of Burnley and Aston Asahi collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Daza checked off Broadway Bullet on the first turn. Seven Enemies checked off Crackerjack Daza on the first turn. Duke Of Burnley checked off Aston Asahi on the home turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Quick Income - the winner of the event.

My Hardaway Hanna, Tearaway Train and Southern Meteor collided soon after the start, checking My Hardaway Hanna. Scenic Warrior and Solar Tiny collided approaching the first turn. Southern Meteor and Tearaway Train collided on the first turn. Southern Meteor marred Haddi Bale entering the home straight. Solar Tiny and Scenic Warrior collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. V. Millington regarding the race manner of Solar Tiny in the home straight. Mr Millington explained that the greyhound was having its first start at Ballarat however he expected the greyhound to perform better than what it did. Mr Millington's comments were noted. A warning was issued against the greyhound's racing manner in the home straight.

Southern Meteor underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. D Klemke regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1)  Southern Meteor was charged with marring. Mr. D Klemke pleaded guilty to the charge, Southern Meteor is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Black Opaque was quick to begin. Pyrenees Daisy was slow to begin.

Cherokee Fawn and Black Opaque collided soon after the start. checking Black Opaque. Big Papi, Maybe Hostile and Waltz On Bye collided approaching the first turn, checking Big Papi and Waltz On Bye. Zipping Dusty checked off Showboat Capers on the first turn. Big Papi checked off Showboat Capers on the home turn and stumbled as a result.

South East Queen – Late scratching at 10.29am when Trainer D. Knight reported the greyhound to have a toe injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Trainer D Knight's explanation for the late scratching was accepted.  

Spot On Mick – Late scratching at 3.05pm when Trainer Mr J. McCallum reported the greyhound to have a webbing injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Uniquely Mine was quick to begin. All Over Max and Fran Joe were slow to begin.

Why Not Dan and Destini Agitator were quick to begin. Zipping Stan was slow to begin.

Aston Gripen, Newtown Angel, Zipping Stan, Glayva and Poor Old Frank collided on the first turn, checking Newtown Angel, Zipping Stan and Glayva, severely checking Poor Old Frank, which fell as a result.

Poor Old Frank underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury and shin soreness on the right hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pyrenees Inferno and Marvelette were quick to begin. Kurri Kurri, Nix Jakit and Magnet Force were slow to begin.

Bab's Jakit and Pyrenees Inferno collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Marvelette and Kiwi Swagger collided on the first turn.

King Lorrimer - New declared weight of 31.8kgs, last raced at 33.2kg.

Hartland Digger was quick to begin. Why Not Patrick was slow to begin.

Uringa went up with the lids and lost ground as a result. Blackpool Amour and Why Not Patrick collided soon after the start.
