Steward's Report
Pai Gow Poker - Late scratching at 1.40pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right calf muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jagora Bale.
G'Day Muscles and Butter Puddin' were slow to begin.
Kimimela checked off Zipping Solo soon after the start. Jagora Bale checked off Zipping Solo on the first turn. Jagora Bale galloped on Kimimela approaching the home turn, checking Jagora Bale and causing Kimimela to shift out and collide with Zipping Solo and Butter Puddin', checking Butter Puddin'. Butter Puddin' shifted in the home straight checking Zipping Solo and Kimimela.
A post-race sample was taken from G'Day Muscles - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Forbes, the trainer of Kimimela and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
