G'Day Muscles and Butter Puddin' were slow to begin.

Kimimela checked off Zipping Solo soon after the start. Jagora Bale checked off Zipping Solo on the first turn. Jagora Bale galloped on Kimimela approaching the home turn, checking Jagora Bale and causing Kimimela to shift out and collide with Zipping Solo and Butter Puddin', checking Butter Puddin'. Butter Puddin' shifted in the home straight checking Zipping Solo and Kimimela.

A post-race sample was taken from G'Day Muscles - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Forbes, the trainer of Kimimela and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Architecture underwent a post-race veterinary examination after a incident on the finish on lure and was found to have a right calf muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Tuohy checked off Jetta's Shout approaching the first turn. Nessa's Ex Teddy and Stoikos collided on the first turn checking Stoikos and Tom Riddle. Jetta's Shout checked off Tom Riddle on the first turn. Riverdale Tuohy galloped on Jetta's Shout on the first turn and severely checking both greyhounds. Yaala Eclipse and Osiris Child collided approaching the home turn checking Yaala Eclipse.

Riverdale Tuohy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Jetta's Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foot spike wound and a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Prior to this event the TAB tote screen indicated betting had closed 13 minutes prior to the race. TAB advised Stewards it was a error and betting was still open. An on-course announcement was made to that effect.

Hungry Eyes stumbled soon after the start and lost ground. Resounding, Tan Back Tan, Cayden Bale and Bright Blue collided on the first turn checking Tan Back Tan and Hungry Eyes. Cayden Bale checked off Resounding approaching the home turn. Natsu Bale checked off Oddjob Lad on the home turn.

Cayden Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
