Twilight Connie was quick to begin.
Stride For Pride, Mr. Daver and Lektra Bear collided soon after the start. All Inn Turbo, Yakima and Dundee Jazz collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds; Mr. Daver and Lektra Bear were checked as a result. Stride For Pride and Dundee Jazz collided entering the home straight.
Lektra Bear underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
