No Problem John - late scratching at 9.29 am Stewards Penalty (retired). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mates Rates was quick to begin. Darnum Dozer and Lightfoot Lass collided soon after the start checking Lightfoot Lass. Acer and Full Of Mojo collided approaching the first turn checking Acer. Mates Rates and Full Of Mojo collided on the first turn severely checking Mates Ratesm checking Acer and Brooke's Wings. Full Of Mojo visibly eased and turned its head on the home turn severely checking My Oh Fernando, causing both greyhounds to race wide. Darnum Dozer crossed to the outside, visibly eased and turned its head on the home turn checking Full Of Mojo and My Oh Fernando. Acer and My Oh Fernando raced wide in the home straight.
Full Of Mojo underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Representative Ms. K. Houlahan declined her option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Houlahan the representative for Full Of Mojo regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provision of GAR 69(A)(1) Full Of Mojo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Houlahan pleaded guilty to the charge, Full Of Mojo is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
