Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Soda Geoff.
Soda Geoff, Sonoma Icon and Hollywood Donuts were slow to begin.
Scissor King and Defendant collided approaching the first turn checking Scissor King. Stellar Rising and Defendant collided on the first turn checking Defendant.
Defendant and Lightning Artist collided approaching the home turn checking Sonoma Icon, severely checking Defendant, Lightning Artist, Soda Geoff, Scissor King and Hollywood Donuts causing Defendant and Lightning Artist to fall and Soda Geoff to pull up.
Soda Geoff underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right radius/ulna fracture. Soda Geoff was humanely euthanased.
Defendant underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Lightning Artist underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Following this event Stewards walked the track in the area where 2 greyhounds fell and deemed the track satisfactory for racing.
