Stinging Red, Dundas Houdini and Barunga Bullet were slow to begin.

La Coconut, Bags On Shazza, Super Switch and Dundas Houdini collided approaching the first turn checking Super Switch. La Coconut and Bags On Shazza collided approaching the first turn checking Bags On Shazza. Stinging Red crossed out approaching the home turn severely checking Madame Pookie who raced wide as a result. Patricia Mary, Barunga Bullet, Dundas Houdini and La Coconut looked out and visibly eased on the home turn. Dundas Houdini, Barunga Bullet and Patricia Mary crossed out on the home turn. Barunga Bullet and Patricia Mary collided in the home straight.

Stinging Red underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Neil Mason, the trainer of Stinging Red regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Stinging Red was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Mason pleaded guilty to the charge, Stinging Red was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

La Coconut underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Paul Gabriel, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), La Coconut was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Gabriel pleaded not guilty to the charge, La Coconut must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dundas Houdini underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right elbow injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Evan Keane, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Dundas Houdini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Keane pleaded guilty to the charge, Dundas Houdini must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Barunga Bullet underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr David Basile, the trainer of Barunga Bullet regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Barunga Bullet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Basile pleaded guilty to the charge, Barunga Bullet is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Patricia Mary underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury right hand side, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Jason Formosa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Patricia Mary was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Patricia Mary must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
