Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Refueled upon arrival at the course. A pre-race sample was taken from Devil Den.
Debt Hacker was quick to begin. Winslow Lodge was slow to begin.
Winslow Lodge, Refueled and Black Opaque collided approaching the first turn. Refueled galloped on Devil Den on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ink Spot and Debt Hacker raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Refueled and Devil Den collided entering the home straight. Rollin' In turned its head outwards in the home straight and collided with Ink Spot.
Rollin' In underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury and a right thigh muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr M Craig regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Rollin' In was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Craig pleaded guilty to the charge, Rollin' In must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ink Spot underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
