Steward's Report
Tinker Billy - Late scratching at 10:16am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Cristina Gason was fined $100.
Blue Marie, Tears In Eyes and Rainbow Parade collided soon after the start checking Tears In Eyes. Rainbow Parade checked off Bruree Boy at the 175m mark. Pranjip Comet visibly eased and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post.
Pranjip Comet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness on the left foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Murray Collyer, the trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Pranjip Comet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Pranjip Comet must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
