Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Elite Eagle.
La Coconut was quick to begin. Cosmic Vigilante was slow to begin.
Norwood and Run Fast Maggie collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the first turn. Elite Eagle marred Hook Along Book repeatedly in the home straight, checking Hook Along Book.
Elite Eagle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Fisher, the handler of Elite Eagle, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Elite Eagle was charged with marring. Mr. G. Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge, Elite Eagle is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
