Akina Spice was slow to begin.
Hurricane Dylan checked off Humble Inquiry on the first turn. Akina Spice and Galloping Nikki collided on the first turn. Rock Me Elijah checked off Humble Inquiry on the first turn. Humble Inquiry visibily eased approaching the home turn and collided with Shy Gem on the home turn.
Humble Inquiry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Vito Inguanti, the handler of Humble Inquiry regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Humble Inquiry was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Inguanti pleaded not guilty to the charge, Humble Inquiry was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
