Hook Along Book was slow to begin. Riverdale Bear was very slow to begin, 4 lengths. Black Katniss and Buddy Boy collided approaching the first turn. Hook Along Book and Defentant collided on the first turn severely checking Defendant. Hook Along Book raced wide on the home turn. Riverdale Bear raced wide in the home straight.
Hook Along Book underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Riverdale Bear underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
