Steward's Report
Spyfection was quick to begin. She's Fabtastic, Air Commander and China Catch 'Em were slow to begin. Dyna Elise and Spyfection collided approaching the second turn checking Spyfection. Spyfection crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Mo Dragon. Mo Dragon and China Catch 'Em collided several times on the home turn. Spyfection and Sarah Smirnoff raced wide on the home turn and again entering home straight.
Air Commander underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10, Air Commander was found to have soreness to both front legs. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr T.Boehmke, the trainer of Air Commander and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Mr Boehmke to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Air Commander in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
