A sample was taken from Completed upon arrival at the course.
Tiggy Buzzard and Zipping Chance were quick to begin.
Chief Command, Cawbourne Dolly and Miss Pocket Aces collided soon after the start, checking Cawbourne Dolly. Tiggy Buzzard and Chief Command collided on the first turn. Miss Pocket Aces, Zipping Chance and Completed collided on the first turn. Chief Command and Cawbourne Dolly collided approaching the home turn.
Chief Command underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
