Chardy and Tarquin Bob were slow to begin.
Lucy Gem crossed to the in soon after the start checking Rooey, Early King, Tarquin Bob and Chardy. Early King and Rooey collided approaching the first turn. Chardy and Rooey collided on the home turn.
Chardy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Mini Fernando - the winner of the event.
