Steward's Report
Ramble Tamble and Swift Abbey were slow to begin. Maximum Lara, Miss Bea and Spyfection raced wide in the home straight. Miss Bea visibly eased approaching the winning post and collided with Spyfection, checking Spyfection and Swift Abbey.
Miss Bea underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left shin soreness. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G.Robinson the trainer of Miss Bea, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Miss Bea was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Robinson pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Bea must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Miss Bea - the winner of the event.
