Sense, Super Free, Turnaround Tina and Love Heart collided soon after the start. Sense, Love Heart and Another Storm collided on the first turn severely checking Sense and La Coconut which lost ground as a result. Alvira tired over concluding stages of the event.

Sense underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Kiss Mwah – Late scratching at 9.06am when Mrs J. Sharp reported the greyhound to have a wrist injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Mr J Willoughby regarding the late scratching Kiss Mwah. After considering the evidence tendered, Mr Willoughby was reminded of his obligations pursuant to GAR 23 to examine greyhounds prior to the appointed scratching time. In not taking more severe action, Stewards considered that no greyhound was denied a start in the event and that connections only had this greyhound engaged in the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Chasin' Bobbi. What Feeling was very slow to begin (5L).

Chasin' Bobbi crossed to the rails soon after the start colliding with Hillbilly Diva. Hillbilly Diva checked off Chasin' Bobbi approaching the first turn. Chasin' Bobbi checked off Pookie Smurf on the first turn. Pookie Smurf checked off Super Rage on the first turn. Pookie Smurf and What Feeling collided approaching the winning post.

Ocon Perez checked off Bombardier King soon after the start. Crackerjack Scot checked off Bombardier King on the first turn and severely checking Scissor King, Crackerjack Scot and Aston Eureka. Crackerjack Scot checked off Aston Eureka on the first turn causing Crackerjack Scot to lose ground. Blue Phantom raced wide on the home turn. Ocon Perez and Bombardier King collided approaching the winning post.

A post-race sample was taken from Figure Eight - the winner of the event.

Crackerjack Scot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Regal Reef checked off Sun Wukong approaching the home turn.

Regal Reef underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have a left fore toe collateral ligament rupture.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Crown Yasmine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Mr Jason Hardy was spoken to advisedly regarding his footwear.

Nick's Never and Canyon County collided soon after the start. Lacarabine, Nick's Never and Southwood Ace collided on the first turn and severely checking Nick's Never. Dynamic Street and Nick's Never collided several times approaching the home turn. Dynamic Street checked off Nick's Never entering the home straight. Southwood Ace and Canyon County collided several times approaching the winning post. 

Killana - Late scratching at 2.19pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr N Hunt was fined $100. Stewards questioned Mr Hunt as he had another runner in the event, Mr Hunt explained that he had reduced the greyhound's training program as Killana was recovering from injury sustained at its last start and this may have contributed to the weight variation. Mr Hunt's comments were noted.

Just Over - Late scratching at 2.34pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr K Ward was fined $100.

Kurri Kurri was quick to begin. Octo Flash was slow to begin.

Sky Breanna crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Blue Gene Bowie and Octo Flash.  Blue Gene Bowie raced wide on the home turn.

Blue Gene Bowie underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have a dislocated toe on the left fore. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mayhem Flyer and Magic Panther were slow to begin. Positive Gearing and Yenderra Bazza collided several times soon after the start. Calfuray crossed towards the rail soon after the start and collided with Petey Baqui and Don's Just Under. Don's Just Under, Petey Baqui and Shimmy Dat Ray collided several times approaching the first turn severely checking Petey Baqui. Gold Odessa checked off Dodge Coupe approaching the first turn. Petey Baqui crossed to the outside and raced wide on the home turn.

Major Innings - In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sandown on 11/7/19. Major Innings was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Major Innings was cleared to race. 

Satisfactory Trial:

Aston Verve– Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at The Meadows for marring. Weighing 26.1kgs and beginning from box 1, Aston Verve completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.86. Aston Verve placed 2nd in a field of 4 of starters beaten by a neck. Aston Verve has been cleared to race at all tracks except The Meadows.

Spandau Ballet – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at The Meadows for unsatisifactory performance. Weighing 26.0kgs and beginning from box 2, Spandau Ballet completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.85. Spandau Ballet placed 1st in a field of 4 of starters winning by a neck. Spandau Ballet has been cleared to race at all tracks except The Meadows. 

Mr Lonely – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Shepparton for fail to chase. Weighing 32.5kgs and beginning from box 5, Mr Lonely completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.05. Mr Lonely placed 3rd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 3L. Mr Lonely has been cleared to race at all tracks except Shepparton.

Renita Bale – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial and a weight trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Ballarat for cramping. Weighing 27.6kgs (new declared weight increased from 24.7kg) and beginning from box 8, Renita Bale completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.19. Renita Bale placed 4th in a field of 4 starters beaten by 5L. Renita Bale has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Gracie Blue – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sandown for fail to chase with injury. Weighing 28.5kg (new declared weight decreased from 30.4kg) and beginning from box 1, Gracie Blue completed the 460m trial distance in a time of 26.50. Gracie Blue placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 1.25L. Gracie Blue has not been cleared to race due to its race manners in the home straight.
