Steward's Report

Yaala Eclipse – Late scratching at 12.26pm when trainer Mr Keith Lloyd reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Sirius Matters.

Chapta Lee was quick to begin. Aston Hazard was slow to begin.

Monoak and Kraken Maxi collided soon after the start. Killana, Blackpool Flyer and Aston Hazard collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Flyer.

Sirius Matters underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hip injury and a right tarsal sprain hock and a spike wound . A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Darmanin representative of the greyhound Sirius Matters, acting under GAR 75 Mr Darmanin was instructed to report to the Stewards as soon as practicable anything that might have affected the running of the greyhound in this event which was not noted by the Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Supplementary Report 05.06.2019:

Pursuant to GAR 75 Mr Bevan Gray trainer of Sirius Matters, reported to the Stewards that upon further examination the greyhound showed no further injury.
