Mowgli Express - An out of competition sample was taken on 03.06.2019 pursuant to GAR 79A. New declared weight 30.5kg, last raced at 29.3kg.

A sample was taken from Mitta Mitta upon arrival at the course.

Regal Reef was slow to begin. 

Inga Assalt, My Girl Lilly and Maeve collided soon after the start. Mowgli Express and Humble Inquiry collided soon after the start. Mowgli Express and My Girl Lilly collided approaching the first turn checking Mowgli Express, My Girl Lilly, Humble Inquiry, Regal Reef and Crazy Summer. Maeve and Inga Assalt collided approaching the first turn checking Inga Assalt. My Girl Lilly and Maeve collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Crazy Summer raced wide in the home straight.

Phoebe's Angel and Tennyson Girl were quick to begin. Rival Natalie and Crackerjack Tys were slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Tennyson Girl - the winner of the event.

Yaala Eclipse – Late scratching at 12.26pm when trainer Mr Keith Lloyd reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Sirius Matters.

Chapta Lee was quick to begin. Aston Hazard was slow to begin.

Monoak and Kraken Maxi collided soon after the start. Killana, Blackpool Flyer and Aston Hazard collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Flyer.

Sirius Matters underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hip injury and a right tarsal sprain hock and a spike wound . A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Darmanin representative of the greyhound Sirius Matters, acting under GAR 75 Mr Darmanin was instructed to report to the Stewards as soon as practicable anything that might have affected the running of the greyhound in this event which was not noted by the Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Pursuant to GAR 75 Mr Bevan Gray trainer of Sirius Matters, reported to the Stewards that upon further examination the greyhound showed no further injury.

Barbados Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg, however no stand down period was imposed.

Giant Jarvis was slow to begin.

Hard Break – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Healesville for failing to chase. Weighing 27.3kgs and beginning from box 5, Hard Break completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.75. Hard Break placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 1.5L. Hard Break has been cleared to race at all tracks except Healesville.
