Steward's Report
Blackpool Amour was slow to begin.
Piriformis and Blackpool Amour collided approaching the first turn, checking Blackpool Amour. Why Not Dan and Spring Classic collided on the first turn, checking Spring Classic which lost ground and tailed off as a result.
Spring Classic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg monkey muscle and left and right hindleg pencil/whip injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Mugavin, the trainer of Spring Classic regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Spring Classic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Mugavin pleaded guilty to the charge, Spring Classic is suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
