Steward's Report
Pacific Coast and Hird From Bucks collided on the first turn checking Hird From Bucks. Busta Mikado checked off Hird From Bucks on the home turn. Blazing Flora turned its head outwards in the home straight, visibly eased and collided with Fine For Me, causing Fine For Me to race wide.
Blazing Flora underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re-examined and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr P. Romagnino, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Blazing Flora was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Romagnino pleaded not guilty to the charge, Blazing Flora was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
