Bubba Jo was quick to begin.  Mighty Tuscany, Long Awaited and Superior Cripps were slow to begin.

Maximum Abbie, Long Awaited and Anyone Arby collided soon after the start checking Long Awaited.  Maximum Abbie and Anyone Arby collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Mighty Tuscany contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Anyone Arby crossed in approaching the home turn checking Mighty Tuscany, Anyone Arby and severely checking Superior Cripps causing the greyhound to race wide.  Long Awaited and Anyone Arby collided entering the home straight.

Mighty Tuscany underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left front foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Midnight Pompeii checked off Twinkle Love soon after the start.  Kip Your Best checked off Awesome Arby soon after the start.  Twinkle Love raced wide on the home turn.

Rumpelstiltskin was a late scratching at 6.25 by order of Stewards pursuant to GAR 25(c)(2) after the Greyhounds bona fides could not be established. Stewards took evidence from the trainer Mr B. Chapman and will conduct further inquiries with GRV Member Services to ascertain how the greyhound was cleared to race with no ear brand.  No penalty was imposed on the greyhound. 

Zeb Striker and Run Robyn Run were slow to begin.

Run Robyn Run and Baby Pechey collided approaching the first turn checking Run Robyn Run and severely checking Zeb Striker.  Lethal Hawk and Bethpage collided approaching the first turn checking Lethal Hawk.  Sudoku Opal and Bethpage collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Run Robyn Run raced wide on the first turn and again on the home turn.  Lethal Hawk raced wide on the home turn.

Flashy De Goey was quick to begin.  Teardrop was slow to begin.

Rupert's Boy went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  Stareena and Unit Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Stareena and Blazin' Hawk collided on the first turn checking Blazin' Hawk and severely checking Rupert's Boy and Teardrop; causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Flashy De Goey raced wide in the back straight causing Line Seeker to race wide.  Unit Bale tired in the home straight.

Unit Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Airly With Grace went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  That Will Be checked off Paw Licious soon after the start.  Paw Licious checked off Weeping Angel approaching the first turn.  That Will Be checked off Paw Licious on the first turn.  Vitaliser checked off That Will Be approaching the home turn.

Lochinvar Deus and Airly Spence were slow to begin.

Threadin' Mikado and Cosmic Ollie collided soon after the start.  Threadin' Mikado, Lochinvar Deus and Airly Spence collided approaching the first turn.  Winlock Newbolt and Airly Spence collided on the first turn.  Threadin' Mikado, Lochinvar Deus and Airly Spence collided several times on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Paul Jones after he failed to attend the catching pen for the purpose of catching the greyhound, Threadin' Mikado following this event.

Clean Slate was slow to begin.  Staggermite was very slow to begin (1 length).

Rusty Nail and Gellar Bale collided on the first turn checking Rusty Nail.  Jump The Bar checked off Elite Mai on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Clean Slate raced wide on the home turn.  

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Rusty Nail, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Griffin the trainer of Clean Slate regarding his difficulty in handling the greyhound. Mr Griffin stated that he no longer has the strength to handle Clean Slate on race days and will endeavour to arrange someone else to handle from now on. 

Mighty Tracey crossed in soon after the start and collided with Quick Paws, Superior Dunkley, Gypsy Kiowa and Spolly's Beauty.  Gypsy Kiowa checked off Fun Time Mikado soon after the start.  Superior Dunkley and Gypsy Kiowa collided approaching the first turn.  Fun Time Mikado checked off Little Miss Ivy approaching the first turn checking Spolly's Beauty.  Brand New faltered on the first turn and lost ground.  Fun Time Miakdo and Superior Dunkley collided approaching the home turn.  Quick Paws and Spolly's Beauty collided entering the home straight.  Spolly's Beauty and Superior Dunkley collided several times in the home straight.  

Brand New underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury and an abrasion to the left tensor fascia.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Cal's Girl – New declared weight of 26.2kgs, last raced at 27.3kgs.

Take A Daisy faltered and lost ground on the first turn.  Kinlock Journey checked off Monty Python on the first turn checking Lektra Miss and Kinloch Journey, Kinloch Journey fell as a result.  Duke Of Airly raced wide on the first turn.  Monty Python galloped on Take A Daisy on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Duke Of Airly checked off Take A Daisy approaching the home turn.  Lektra Miss checked off Monty Python on the home turn.  

Kinloch Journey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Take A Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury, A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pacific Coast and Hird From Bucks collided on the first turn checking Hird From Bucks.  Busta Mikado checked off Hird From Bucks on the home turn.  Blazing Flora turned its head outwards in the home straight, visibly eased and collided with Fine For Me, causing Fine For Me to race wide.  

Blazing Flora underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re-examined and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr P. Romagnino, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Blazing Flora was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Romagnino pleaded not guilty to the charge, Blazing Flora was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
