Oakvale Beauty, Dyna Garner and He Shall Johnny were slow to begin. 

Ultimate Bling and Red Rochelle collided on the first turn checking Ultimate Bling, Red Rochelle, Oxley One and Ruby Girl. Cornhill Rebel checked off Red Rochelle entering the front straight severely checking Cornhill Rebel and He Shall Johnny, causing Cornhill Rebel to stumble as a result. Ruby Girl crossed in on the second turn checking Oxley One. Cornhill Rebel and He Shall Johnny collided on the second turn.

Dorrigo Bale – Late scratching at 4.07pm when Mr C. Capuano reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Rock It Fernando was slow to begin.

Iago Bale crossed to the inside soon after start colliding with Zambora Andy, Dyna Uni, Titanium Lad and Kraken Buster. Dyna Uni checked off Zambora Andy approaching the first turn.  Titanium Lad and Rock It Fernando collided on the first turn and and again on the second turn. Titanium Lad and Rock It Fernando collided in the back straight. Titanium Lad checked off Rock It Fernando approaching the third turn.

Euro Marsh and Double Tactic collided soon after the start. Waging War and Black Signature collided soon after the start. Spokane Flick and Double Supreme collided approaching the first turn. Spokane Flick and Black Signature collided entering the front straight. Double Supreme checked off Spokane Flick approaching the second turn. Double Tactic checked off Black Signature on the second turn. Euro Marsh checked off Double Supreme entering the back straight. Mepunga Pegasus checked off Bees And Honey and Black Signature in the back straight causing Mepunga Pegasus to lose considerable ground as a result. Mepunga Pegasus and Double Supreme collided approaching the home turn. Double Supreme checked off Bees And Honey on the home turn. Bees And Honey and Double Tactic collided on the home turn.

Mepunga Pegasus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left calf muscle . A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

An out of competition sample was taken from Who Told Stevie, Simon Told Helen and Route Sixty Six on 1.1.20 pursuant to GAR 79A.
