A pre-race sample was taken from Ultimate Poison.

Mac's Secret was unable to be boxed after two attempts resulting in all greyhounds being removed from the boxes and re-vetted  All were passed fit to race except Mac's Secret which sustained a laceration to a left hind toe.  Mac's Secret was scratched from the event and a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Due to the aforementioned incident and the process of scratching the greyhound, all races were put back one race with the last commencing at 10.43pm.

Champagne Rose was slow to begin.  Wayward Arrow and Champagne Rose collided approaching the first turn severely checking Wayward Arrow, checking Champagne Rose.  Bubba Joe was checked off Zambora Lulu entering the home straight.

Wayward Arrow underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mac's Secret proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Romyn the trainer of Mac's Secret regarding the greyhound's inability to be boxed.  Considering this incident Stewards deemed it appropriate that the greyhound complete a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 71 before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rebel May Road and Big Coin Buddy were slow to begin.  Montaro and Go Charlotte Go collided approaching the first turn.  Frosty Paradise and Rebel May Road collided approaching the first turn checking Rebel May Road.  Triscay and Montaro collided in the home straight.  Montaro and Speed Demon collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Mia's Hand and Gellar Bale were quick to begin.  Walk Me Home and Sadarli were slow to begin.  Successful Sissy and Squawking Budgie collided approaching the first turn checking Successful Sissy.  Bag Of Tricks and Successful Sissy collided on the first turn.  Walk Me Home and Sadarli raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Frozen Paradise, Zipping Cedric and Cute Patootie collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Cedric and Cute Patootie.  Cute Patootie and Boombox Robbie collided on the first turn checking Cute Patootie.  Skinny La La and My Bro Rocks collided approaching the home turn.  Boombox Robbie raced wide on the home turn.  Minter Zoom was checked off Father Phevos entering the home straight.  Zipping Cedric and My Bro Rocks collided in the home straight.

Blue Tick Fern was quick to begin.  Playlist, You Tell Me and Blue Tick Fern collided approaching the first turn checking You Tell Me and Aston Stealth.  You Tell Me severely checked off Smokin' Cindy approaching the first turn checking Tristian Rose as a result.  Playlist was checked off Smokin' Cindy on the first turn and lost ground as a result.

A post race sample was taken from Smokin' Cindy - winner of the event, Manila Knight and Catch The Thief - dead heat second placegetters in the event.

Bobby The Brute - late scratching at 5.55pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. B. Greenough was fined $100.

Annie Rose was slow to begin.  Fly By Them and Revelation collided approaching the first turn checking Fly By Them.  Fly By Them and Annie Rose collided on the first turn checking Annie Rose.  Cosmic Ollie was checked off Revelation approaching the home turn checking Rock It Fernando.  Cosmic Ollie and Rock It Fernando collided several times from the home turn to the winning post.  Fly By Them galloped on Rock It Fernado in the home straight.

Patricia Maureen was quick to begin.  Goldrush Rose crossed in soon after the start checking Spotted Panther, It's A Drama and Tubark.  Rusty Model was checked off Goldrush Rose on the first turn.  Spotted Panther galloped on Rusty Model on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Bomber's Return and Floppy Joe collided approaching the home turn.  Goldrush Rose was checked off Bomber's Return on the home turn.  Rusty Model lost ground in the home straight.

Rusty Model underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right metatarsal.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Chasing Rex was slow to begin.  Lightning Beach crossed in approaching the first turn checking Rojo Ollie.  Golden Years was checked off Chasing Rex on the first turn checking Golden Years, Sad But True and Bricabrac.  Meraki and Rojo Ollie raced wide in the home straight.  Bricabrac crossed out in the home straight and raced wide.

Murray Nan was quick to begin.  Crown Armani crossed in soon after the start checking Almani Rampage, Bomber's Wonder, Zipping Samara and Black Catani.  Crown Armani was checked off Tara's Magic on the first turn checking Bomber's Wonder.  My Gem and Almani Rampage collided approaching the home turn.  Crown Armani was checked off Bomber's Wonder approaching the home turn.  My Gem and Black Catani raced wide in the home straight.

Violation and Carter Senor were quick to begin.  Blair Bale crossed in soon after the start checking Thandie Bale and Silky Success.  Silky Success was checked off Blair Bale approaching the first turn.  Thandie Bale, Blair Bale and Brave Traveller collided on the first turn severely checking Thandie Bale, Silky Success, Blair Bale and Brave Traveller.

Gotham Duchess underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left sesamoid and right shoulder muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Lithgow the trainer of Gotham Duchess and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Woolybully Keats was checked off Inter Santina soon after the start.  Just Faith was checked off Shakalaka approaching the first turn.  Nate's Awesome and Inter Santina collided on the first turn checking Inter Santina.  Gojek and Woolybully Keats collided on the first turn.  Just Faith was checked off Nate's Awesome on the home turn.  Gojek and Woolybully Keats collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Nate's Awesome and Inter Santina collided entering the home straight.

Little Samara was quick to begin.  Friend In Me was slow to begin.  Kramer Bale was checked off Break The Plate on the first turn checking Darklight.  Break The Plate and Roger That collided on the first turn checking Break The Plate and severely checking Roger That which fell, severely checking Friend In Me which faltered and subsequently pulled up.

Roger That underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Friend In Me underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured left wrist.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
