Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ultimate Poison.
Mac's Secret was unable to be boxed after two attempts resulting in all greyhounds being removed from the boxes and re-vetted All were passed fit to race except Mac's Secret which sustained a laceration to a left hind toe. Mac's Secret was scratched from the event and a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Due to the aforementioned incident and the process of scratching the greyhound, all races were put back one race with the last commencing at 10.43pm.
Champagne Rose was slow to begin. Wayward Arrow and Champagne Rose collided approaching the first turn severely checking Wayward Arrow, checking Champagne Rose. Bubba Joe was checked off Zambora Lulu entering the home straight.
Wayward Arrow underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mac's Secret proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Romyn the trainer of Mac's Secret regarding the greyhound's inability to be boxed. Considering this incident Stewards deemed it appropriate that the greyhound complete a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 71 before any future nomination will be accepted.
