Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Big Bash Ellyse on 4 December 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Shadow Mist and Jetson Princess collided soon after the start. Big Bash Ellyse and Major Minter collided soon after the start. Big Bash Ellyse and Ferdinand collided soon after the start. Akashi Kid and Major Minter collided soon after the start. Jetson Princess and Major Minter collided on the first turn severely checking Major Minter and Gettysburg. Big Bash Ellyse and Gettysburg collided entering the back straight causing both greyhounds to fall and tail off as a result checking Ferdinand. Ferdinand and Jetson Princess collided on the home turn.
Alpine Cowboy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Big Bash Ellyse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain and a right fore dislocated toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Gettysburg underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right fore fractured toe, left sesamoid, left stifle, left and right trapezius injuries. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
