A pre-race sample was taken from Striking Tiger.
Shanlyn Rob was quick to begin. Taken and Pete's Dream were slow to begin.
Insuperable, Why Not Luv and Striking Tiger collided soon after the start. Especial One, Insuperable, Why Not Luv and Striking Tiger collided on the first turn, Striking Tiger fell as a result severely checking Taken and Pete's Dream. Insuperable galloped on Flying Fifi on the home turn severely checking Flying Fifi. Flying Fifi and Why Not Luv collided in the home straight.
Flying Fifi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions on both back feet. No stand down period was imposed.
Striking Tiger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sesamoid injury and a spike wound to the left back foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
