Blazin' Hawk crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Wenona Bale checked off Blazin' Hawk approaching the first turn checking Miss Wonderland.  Unrivalled Dusty checked off April Joon on the second turn and raced wide.  Wenona Bale checked off Blazin' Hawk in the back straight.

Threaten underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a right stifle and left eye abrasion and a suspect concussion.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Magpie Robbie went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Aston Lindop was quick to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Snake Pit Lass checked off Lucky Lulu approaching the first turn.  Magpie Robbie and Snake Pit Lass collided on the first turn checking Snake Pit Lass.  Snake Pit Lass and Lucky Lulu collided in the home straight.  

Zipping Dodge and Suvla Bay collided soon after the start.  Sir Duke and Handsome collided on the first turn checking Handsome and King Gristle.  Zipping Dodge checked off Zen Prince on the second turn.  King Gristle and Suvla Bay collided entering the back straight.  Zipping Dodge raced wide in the back straight.  Handsome, Zen Prince and Suvla Bay collided apporsaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Handsome, Zen Prince and Zipping Dodge.  Zen Prince and Handsome collided in the home straight.  

Scuffy and So Tough were slow to begin.

Lot Coin Babe, Double Supreme, Repercussions, Blue Mascara, Omar Little and My Boy Winlock collided on the first turn checking Lot Coin Babe, Blue Mascara, Omar Little and My Boy Winlock.  Scuffy checked off Repercussions entering the front straight checking Blue Mascara.  Lot Coin Babe and Double Supreme collided on the second checking Double Supreme and So Tough.  Lot Coin Babe and Repercussions collided several times entering the home straight and again in the home straight. 

Ruby Girl was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Oxley One and Notorious.  Oxley One and Notorious collided approaching the first turn checking Oxley One.  Dyna Drew and Gwydion collided on the first turn checking Dyna Drew and causing Kathleen's Kiss to race wide.  Oxley One and Dyna Drew collided on the home turn.  

Dundee Spectre and Kratos were quick to begin.  Bold and Kratos were slow to begin.

Kratos and Renewed collided soon after the start checking Kratos.  Dundee Spectre and Zianna Rose collided on the first turn.  Black Canvas checked off Push on the first turn checking Renewed.  Class Edge contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Kratos which raced wide.  Bold faltered in the front straight, tailed off and subsequently pulled up.  Push and Renewed collided entering the back straight and again on the fourth turn checking Push and Black Canvas.  Class Edge and Black Canvas collided on the home turn.  

Bold underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right monkey muscle and left quadriceps injuries.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Presutto, the representative of Bold regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Bold must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards will also require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination is accepted.
