Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Line Seeker.
Look Fancy Nancy, Kudos Bale and Captain Dynamite collided soon after the start. Bravery and I'm Easy Boys collided on the first turn. I'm Easy Boys and Black Treasure collided approaching the second turn. Kudos Bale galloped on the heels of Look Fancy Nancy on the second turn. Bravery and Black Treasure collided entering the back straight. Eddie galloped on the heels of Bravery in the back straight severely checking both greyhounds. Line Seeker and Look Fancy Nancy collided approaching the third turn. Kudos Bale and Captain Dynamite collided approaching the home turn checking Captain Dynamite. Line Seeker and I'm Easy Boys collided on the home turn.
Bravery underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left medial thigh and a left bicep injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Eddie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have inuries to the right chest and right pencil muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Look Fancy Nancy - placed 2nd in the event.
Stewards spoke to the trainer of Line Seeker Ms A.Scott regarding the greyhounds performance in tonight’s event. Ms Scott stated the greyhounds last start at The Meadows wasn’t as bad as it appeared, as it was only beaten a small margin after being held up for a run at numerous stages throughout the event. She further stated that the greyhound had trialed exceptionally well at the track recently and the greyhound had run up to her expectations in tonight’s event.
