Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

Dr. Phoenix fell after the winning post and underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Weaving Magic and Nella Ruslie collided approaching the first turn checking Weaving Magic.  Dr. Mumma and Carter collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Carter. Carter and Nella Ruslie collided on the home turn.

All Inn Benny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hamstrings and right pencil muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Perfect Colour, Dr. Mick and Leroy Deploy collided soon after the start checking Leroy Deploy and Dr. Mick.  Aston Anita and Leroy Deploy collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Leroy Deploy.

Bravery underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left medial thigh and a left bicep injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Eddie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have inuries to the right chest and right pencil muscles.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Look Fancy Nancy - placed 2nd in the event.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Line Seeker Ms A.Scott regarding the greyhounds performance in tonight’s event. Ms Scott stated the greyhounds last start at The Meadows wasn’t as bad as it appeared, as it was only beaten a small margin after being held up for a run at numerous stages throughout the event. She further stated that the greyhound had trialed exceptionally well at the track recently and the greyhound had run up to her expectations in tonight’s event.
