Prior to the running of this event three harness horses walked onto the track. As a result the start of the race was delayed approximately 5 minutes to allow for the removal of the horses and to conduct remedial work on the affected area of the track.
Shima Shine and Who Told Stevie collided on the first turn checking Who Told Stevie. Atlantic Jewel and All Inn Baz collided on the first turn checking Atlantic Jewel.
