Blackpool Ammo was quick to begin.
Belle Express, Damo’s Pineapple and Hasta Manana collided soon after the start. Damo’s Pineapple checked off Harrell Bale approaching the first. Belle Express checked off Jilly Jacovich on the first turn, checking Jilly Jacovich: causing Jilly Jacovich to check off Hasta Manana and collide with Harrell Bale.
Jilly Jacovich underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a sacro-iliac injury, an abrasion to the left hind toes, and a lost nail on the left hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
