Geena Bale crossed to the outside soon after the start. Florentine Bale crossed to the rail after the start.
Geena Bale, Taffeta Bale, Jayla Bale, Arielle Bale collided soon after the start checking Jayla Bale. Arielle Bale and Taffeta Bale collided on the first turn checking Taffeta Bale causing Taffeta Bale and Florentine Bale to collide. Geena Bale and Molly Fernando collided approaching the home turn. Geena Bale checked off Arielle Bale approaching the home turn. Molly Fernando, Florentine Bale and Geena Bale collided entering the home straight, checking Jayla Bale, Florentine Bale fell as a result. Geena Bale and Molly Fernando collided in the home straight checking Geena Bale. Our Ando turned its head and eased in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Arielle Bale- the winner of the event.
Florentine Bale under went a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tricep injury. A10 day stand down period was imposed.
Our Ando underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Keane,the trainer of Our Ando regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Our Ando was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.Mr P Keane pleaded guilty to the charge,Our Ando is suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
