Steward's Report

Anyone Arby was slow to begin.

Humphrey Bear raced wide approaching the home turn and eased.  Permit Granted raced wide approaching the home turn, turned it's head outwards and eased.  Anyone Arby stumbled approaching the home turn.  Humphrey Bear and Permit Granted collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.

Prior to All Clear, Stewards announced "Hold All Tickets" to allow them to view the official footage in the back straight, where a bird was situated on the track during the running of the event. After viewing the footage, Stewards deemed that no runner had it's chances materially affected and the All Clear was given on the Judge's numbers 8, 7, 1 and 2.

Humphrey Bear underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg toe and abdominal muscle injuries, a five day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Grant Hammerstein regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Humphrey Bear was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Hammerstein pleaded guilty to the charge, Humphrey Bear must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Permit Granted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race five, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr Patrick Bull, the trainer of Permit Granted, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Permit Granted was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Bull pleaded guilty to the charge, Permit Granted is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Anyone Arby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg pencil/whip injury.  A three day stand down period was imposed.
