Little Women and Chops Malone were quick to begin. Noonbarra Jack and Imperial Jack were slow to begin.
Noonbarra Jack and Imperial Jack collided approaching the first turn checking Imperial Jack. Little Women checked off Mepunga Bella approaching the home turn.
A post-race sample was taken from Chops Malone - the winner of the event.
Imperial Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination, at the request of the trainer, and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle and both quadriceps. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
