Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful heatlh screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Maximum Sarah crossed to the rails soon after the start. Me Silly and Burst Of Yap collided approaching the first turn. G'Day Muscles, Me Silly, Burst Of Yap and Aston Leah collided on the first turn checking Me Silly, Burst Of Yap and Zulu Boy. G'Day Muscles and Aston Leah collided several times approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Rampant Teresa was slow to begin.

Private, Aston Mirage and Amuri Flo collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Mirage. Berkel Boy and Amuri Flo collided on the first turn checking Amuri Flo. Private galloped on Summer Lights on the first turn. Aston Mirage and Amuri Flo collided approaching the home turn causing Aston Mirage to check off Smooth Operator. Aston Mirage checked off Amuri Flo approaching the winning post. 

Fabriola Citrus was slow to begin.

Zulu Walk checked off Quail Bale approaching the first turn.Tinsell Doll, Lektra Shadow, Quail Bale and Malayah Bale collided on the first turn checking Lektra Shadow, Quail Bale and Zulu Walk. Mountain and Tinsel Doll collided approaching the home turn. Zulu Walk checked off Fabriola Citrus on the home turn.

Thomeli Boy was quick to begin. Crackerjack Tys and Side Splitting were slow to begin. 

Side Splitting and Pure Profit collided on the first turn severely checking Side Splitting. Artpop checked off Comrade on the first turn. Crackerjack Tys and Thomeli Boy collided on the first turn. Side Splitting raced wide on the home turn. Thomeli Boy raced wide entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Carr, the trainer of Scuffy, regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations in tonight's event. Ms. Carr stated that Scuffy is returning from an injury and she has given the greyhound a lengthy spell. Ms. Carr added that Scuffy has since improved it's boxing manners and in addition it's first split sectional times. Ms. Carr further added that Scuffy has trialled well prior to this event and she felt confident that the greyhound would be competitive. Stewards noted Ms. Carr's comments. 

The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the withdrawal of Broken Drum from this event on Tuesday 14 April 2020. A Veterinary Certificate was requested under GAR 20 (3) (v) to establish the bonafides of the withdrawal. On 16 April 2020, the Stewards received a Veterinary Certificate stating that Broken Drum had injuries to both the triangle and calf muscles, which were consistent with the reason for withdrawal. The matter was rested on that basis.  

Don't Change, Nitro Yap, Aston Corinna and Crackerjack Nash were slow to begin.

Don't Change checked off Jagger's Joss on the first turn. Maximum Milky and Jagger's Joss collided on the first turn. Don't Change and Gold Flyer collided on the first turn checking Don't Change, Gold Flyer and Nitro Yap. Maximum Milky checked off Braith Bale approaching the home turn. Crackerjack Nash galloped on Maximum Milky approaching the home turn. Nitro Yap checked off Gold Flyer on the home turn. Nitro Yap, Crackerjack Nash and Gold Flyer collided on the home turn, causing Nitro Yap to become unbalanced. 

Crimson Vixen was quick to begin.

Weblec King checked off Golden Night on the first turn. Mario Vest Only and Daniel Avocado collided on the first turn checking Rockstar Stanley and severely checking Daniel Avocado. Daniel Avocado and Weblec King collided approaching the home turn. Rockstar Stanley and Rainbow Spirit collided in the home straight.

Benchester was slow to begin.

Benchester checked off Power To Wyn approaching the first turn. Benchester clipped the heels of Bowled Harro approaching the first turn checking Bowled Harro. Power To Wyn checked off My Name's Barry on the first turn.
