Capture Bart – Late scratching at 8.10am when Mr D. Burnett reported the greyhound to have a chest injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Giggling Gertie was quick to begin. Drogheda County was slow to begin.
Mullion Mayor and My Dewana Penny collided on the first turn. Hot Tottie and Drogheda County collided approaching the second turn. Hot Tottie faltered on the second turn and lost ground. Tiggerlong Ginga and My Dewana Penny collided approaching the second turn.
Hot Tottie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
